I had a fantastic photo session with Bonnie Blue the Chorkie — Chihuahua x Yorkie — yesterday morning. We did it in a super-stylish suite at Hotel Ignacio, a beautiful, hip boutique hotel that opened a few weeks ago next to Triumph Grill (and the Moto Museum) and across the street from Saint Louis University. The artwork, furniture and individuality of each room is stellar-cool. And all within stroll of Grand Center.
I had a blast photographing the 7-pound puppy who will celebrate her first birthday later this month. Bonnie Blue has gone through a two-month obedience course with her daddy Dennis. She was so patient with the process and well-behaved. Dennis did a great job keeping her focused, too. A great team!
Making it even better, this session was won in the New Year for the Strays Trivia Night silent auction held in January. John, Bonnie’s other daddy, was the generous bidder who made all this happen. He also is the general manager at Hotel Ignacio, and is doing a sensational job there. As Becca would tell you, I’m not prone to rave about something very often, but I just can’t say enough what a great new addition this is to St. Louis.
